We are seeking the right person or people to live in a cozy one-bedroom apartment near Robin Hood Park in Keene. It is a small unit with low ceilings, but many windows, plenty of afternoon sunshine, and a private driveway and entrance. There is a kitchen/dining area, pantry, bathroom, entrance hallway, living room, and small bedroom. It shares access to a basement storage and laundry room with a washing machine (no dryer). Other shared space includes a private back-yard, picnic tables, vegetable garden, and a bicycle storage space.
RENT: market rate, depends upon the length of the lease, number of people, and interest in helping with maintenance.
UTILITIES: We provide high speed internet and hot/cold water. Tenant is responsible for paying the gas (heat) and electricity (lights).
TRASH & RECYCLING: We do not provide trash / recycling service. Some tenants choose to hire a private company, others choose to make a weekly/monthly trip to the Keene transfer station.
SNOW & ICE REMOVAL: We do not provide show-shoveling. Some tenants choose to hire a plow truck, others choose to shovel their own driveway.
GARDEN: Tenants are welcome to have space in the vegetable garden!
PETS: We love animals, but have been mildly traumatized by having bad experiences after accepting dogs and cats from tenants in the past. We will typically say NO PETS, but for the right person we would consider the smallest, cleanest, quietest, friendliest of dogs or cats. Note that we also share the building with a small flock of free-range chickens who will roam around the backyard on summer afternoons.
